The twisting of steel wire rope strands should be based on the requirements of the purchase contract, and a twisting process card should be established. The tube twisting machine process card should indicate the twisting process flow, twist distance, twist direction, length, diameter of the steel wire used for twisting, strength level, toughness number, strand diameter, core diameter, and technical parameters such as the structure and rope diameter of the steel wire rope used for twisting, as well as the recommended twisting machine.

Before twisting, steel wires should be carefully selected and matched. The diameter, toughness number, coating type, strength grade, etc. of the steel wires used must meet the requirements of the process card to avoid quality accidents of mixed wire diameter, mixed strength, and mixed toughness number. We should carefully determine and adjust the twisting direction, angle, and distance of the strands to avoid quality accidents such as wrong twisting direction and excessive twisting distance. The selection, installation, and adjustment of I-shaped wheels, branching reels, deformers, and wire pressing tiles should ensure the requirements of strand length and twisting quality. The twisting of each layer of steel wire in the point contact strand is carried out separately, and the twisting of the wire contact strand is completed in one go. The strands in point line contact or line point contact are respectively completed on two twisting machines. Irregular strands can be twisted using traditional twisting methods or manufactured using circular cross-section strand compression method.
